We are certainly missing the laughter and the smiles here at the school but we are thankful for all of the zoom and google classroom visits! Hang in there and stay safe 🙂
Good morning students we need some hearts for our windows at the school. If you are able to draw and colour one can you either scan it or take a picture of it and email it to me. We also have a drop box outside that you could put it in. We would love to decorate the school up a bit. We are really missing you! Mrs. Hartman
We dressed up in our pj’s to support our home schooling students. If you have some pictures of you in your pj’s remember to upload https://uploads.picaboo.com/8637661
Thank you for the prompt pick up of the student belongings! It was great to see so many of you. We look forward to hearing from you as we continue to explore this new type of teaching and learning.
If you ordered a t-shirt or a hoodie, I placed the order before school was let out. It was ordered on Thursday, March 12th. I will let you know when it arrives so that you can pick it up.
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I recognize that this is a challenging time for everyone and I am sure that you have a lot of questions and concerns. Due to the Global Covid-19 Pandemic, all in-class instruction has been suspended at this time. I have been working with district staff to discuss protocols to ensure that all members of our school community can be kept safe and that learning will still occur during this difficult time.
During our first week back, it is essential that access to our building is by staff members only. No parents or students will be able to enter the school. This is important so that we can put safety protocols in place. Teachers will be in contact with you regarding the picking up of supplies/shoes, returning library books, and what learning will look like.
Next week staff will be planning for the ‘continuity of learning.’ The learning activities that they are planning are not expected to replicate the normal schedule in a classroom. It is not ‘business or learning as usual’ and we ask for your understanding on this. Our teachers will be working hard to create lessons and activities that will enable the students to continue their growth in different areas and to be prepared for when they all return to the classroom. These learning activities will look different from class to class. Teachers will be in contact with you to discuss this further.
Today the students are dismissed at the regular time and then will be off for the next two weeks. It looks like the sun is going to shine and the weather will warm up too. Try to enjoy the break and stay healthy. Please check the prn.bc.ca website regularly for updates for the virus and how it might impact the schools.
As things are changing quite quickly and we are heading into spring break please go to the prn.bc.ca website to find regular updates. We hope that you are able to have some family time during the break. We are sorry to hear about trips, sporting events, and vacations, etc that have been cancelled due to the virus. Please take care and we will see you after the break.
