• Are you interested in learning to curl? Grade 5/6

The FSJ curling club is looking for at least four elementary schools to participate in an after school league (on Mondays 3:30-4:30pm). They are looking to start the week of the Oct. 22nd and the sessions will run until the end of March.

  • Impressive Art!

Currently we have a number of pieces of art hanging up at Learning Services.  They will be displayed for Oct and November so if you are in the building look for our students artwork.
We still have lots displayed in our hallways so the next time you are in please take a look.

  • Growth Mindset is Important

We all need to have a growth mindset! I can’t do this, ‘yet’ rather than I can’t do this.

  • Mrs. Armstrong’s Army Leads the Way

Mrs. Armstrong’s class is in the early lead of the reading challenge!  They have already traveled more than 20 000km in their journey around the world.  Week 1 minutes can still be handed in on Monday with the week two minutes.

  • Learning to Cook :)

The grade 8 students were busy learning how to make their own chicken strips and french fries from scratch.  They turned out well.

  • Taylor Cross Country Results

Our runners did very well in the final run of the season. Clearview won 3 categories and came 2nd in 3 categories.  Amazing results!
Preston, Chase, and Isabel all won their third race of the season in their respective categories.

  • Reading Challenge Continues

Please bring your week 1 reading challenge to school on Tuesday so that I can start to collect the distances each class has travelled.  You have a long weekend so let’s keep up the great reading as I know many of you have already been reading a lot!
